Yesterday I met a man whose last name, Dey, was explained by him as "the hick way to spell 'day.'"
He did not have fingers because he had "disseminated intervascular coagulation"
that made him bleed out from places,
like his eye sockets.
Mikey Dey was jealous of my camera,
he said that he'd sold his because he couldn't manipulate it without his fingers,
that he missed the soft lighting.
I told him that there were astounding touch screen point and shoots on the market,
even ones that could control shutter and aperture.
I noted how much closer of a handshake that I was able to have with Mikey without fingers getting in the way
